Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast welcomes new physicians

Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast has added two physicians who are expanding care in our area. Both are accepting new patients.

“Expanding our OB-GYN team while welcoming a new primary care physician ensures our patients continue to have reliable, close-to-home access to the healthcare services they need most,” said Trey Abshier, President and CEO of Sacred Heart Emerald Coast.

Expanding care for mothers and babies
Haleigh Fredericks, MD, joins the team at Ascension Sacred Heart OB-GYN - Miramar Beach, located in the medical office building on the hospital’s campus. With the addition of Dr. Fredericks, we now have seven OB-GYN physicians to serve the growing needs of our community.

Dr. Fredericks will deliver babies at the Sacred Heart Emerald Coast Family Birth Place. The Family Birth Place is continually recognized nationally for its maternity care and includes the only NICU close to home for families in Walton and Okaloosa Counties. In addition, the Family Birth Place offers a 24/7 OB-Emergency Room for expectant mothers.

Dr. Fredericks completed her residency program at our sister hospital, Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola, and earned her Medical Degree from Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.
