On Mar. 26, Ascension Health participated in the Healthcare Leadership Council (HLC) Innovations Expo on Capitol Hill. More than 100 members of Congress attended the event to learn about new healthcare tools, technologies and treatments from 21 healthcare organizations.
Ascension Health provided information on its “Excellence in Obstetrics” grant results, its significant reductions in Early Elective Deliveries (EEDs), and the organization’s Handling All Neonatal Deliveries Safely (HANDS) program. The team showcased an obstetrics birthing torso to simulate how clinicians are trained to respond to a high-risk birth injury called shoulder dystocia.
