A virtual care program focused on stroke care being piloted by Ascension ministries St. John Providence Health System, Detroit and Saint Thomas Health, Nashville, Tennessee, is being featured at the 2015 International Stroke Conference.
More than 4,000 stroke experts from around the world gathered in Nashville for the conference. The event was hosted by the American Heart Association and had nearly 100 exhibits and 1,500 presentations, each presenting better ways to treat and prevent stroke.
The Ascension virtual care pilot includes new technology featuring high-definition video conferencing that allows a stroke patient to communicate with a stroke expert without leaving his or her community. Watch the video to learn more.
