Hospitals Ranked by US News World Report

The latest U.S. News and World Report rankings of hospitals include good marks for several hospitals of Ascension. The magazine analyzed more than 5,000 hospitals based on critical criteria and patient outcomes. General acute-care hospitals are ranked in 16 specialties, and children's hospitals in 10 specialties.

Two Ascension hospitals were included in a list of "40 Hospitals That Performed Well in Common Care," meaning they were high-performing in at least four of five areas of common care: hip replacement, knee replacement, heart bypass surgery, congestive heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Those hospitals are Seton Medical Center Austin, Texas, and St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital.
