Computerworld has recognized Gerry Lewis, Vice President, IT Strategy and Business Development, and Chief Data Officer, Ascension Information Services, as one of its Premier 100 Technology Leaders for 2016. The awards program, now in its 17th year, honors individuals who have had a positive impact on their organization through technology.
Gerry was selected from hundreds of nominees, each of whom submitted a questionnaire that addressed a number of topics, including their background, experience, and attitude toward risk and innovation. Those selected were determined to most closely match Computerworld’s Leader Index, a set of common characteristics top technology and business executives have identified as essential attributes.
“We were thrilled to learn Gerry earned this recognition,” said Mark Barner, Senior Vice President and CIO, Ascension Health, and President and CEO, Ascension Information Services. “He has a reputation as someone who quickly understands and accepts change, then seamlessly pivots intellectually and emotionally to support the needs of our organization. The work he leads in the development of a new framework structure to support clinically integrated care management systems and population health/value-based care models offers just one good example of that.”
Gerry will receive the award at Computerworld’s AGENDA16 Conference in March 2016 in Amelia Island, Florida. He and his fellow honorees also will appear in a special issue of Computerworld’s digital magazine that month.
