Four Ascension chief financial officers – Anthony “Tony” Speranzo of Ascension, Rhonda Anderson of Ascension Health, Pam Hess for her work at Saint Thomas Midtown and Saint Thomas West hospitals in Nashville, Tennessee, and Patrick McGuire of Ascension Michigan – have been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2016 list of “150 Hospital and Health System CFOs to Know.”

Tony leads all finance aspects of Ascension, including treasury functions, debt management, investments, and mergers and acquisitions. An Ascension leader since 2002, he has more than 30 years of experience in leading financial activities and investments for health systems.
Rhonda became Senior Vice President and CFO of Ascension Health, the healthcare delivery subsidiary of Ascension, in October 2014. She previously served as President of the Business Development Division and Chief Financial Officer of Columbia St. Mary’s in Milwaukee, part of Ascension Wisconsin.
Pam served as CFO for Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital prior to taking the CFO role at Saint Thomas West Hospital in 2012, both part of Saint Thomas Health in Nashville, Tennessee. In June 2014 she added Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital to her responsibilities. Just this week she was named CFO of St. Vincent’s HealthCare in the Ascension Jacksonville (Florida) Ministry Market, effective July 18.
She has held positions in numerous healthcare systems and hospitals, including Columbia St. Mary’s in Milwaukee, part of Ascension Wisconsin.
Since joining St. John Providence in 1986 at St. John Hospital & Medical Center, Pat has played a pivotal role in transforming a one-hospital system with a narrow geographic presence into a five-hospital, diversified health enterprise spanning five counties in southeast Michigan. As Chief Financial Officer for Ascension Michigan, Pat is responsible for the financial leadership of the Michigan Ministry Market.
