St. Vincent Health, in the Ascension Indiana Ministry Market, has named Mike Schroyer Regional President of the St. Vincent Northeast Region, which includes St. Vincent Anderson Regional, St. Vincent Mercy and St. Vincent Randolph hospitals. Mike has acted as interim President since Dec. 7, 2015.
During his nine years of service with St. Vincent, Mike has served in multiple leadership roles, including Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Operating Officer for the St. Vincent Heart Center. He also serves as a board or committee member of Madison Health Partners, United Way of Madison County and the Corporation for Economic Development.
Mike has directed the startup of eight state-of-the-art hospitals in the United States, including construction of two hospitals. He also assisted with the design and planning of seven other state-of-the-art hospitals. He created and implemented the nation’s first all-digital and paperless cardiovascular hospital. Mike has developed patient-focused and team-oriented organizations characterized by participative leadership, teamwork, physician satisfaction and low turnover rates.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loyola University, Chicago, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey. He earned his Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Business Administration from Auburn University, Alabama. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and an Associate of the American College of Cardiology. Mike received a four-year federal appointment last year to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Advisory Panel on Hospital Outpatient Payment. He is also active on the National Advocacy Committees for healthcare.
