Jane Phillips Medical Center opened its full-service imaging center in Independence, Kansas, on July 18.
The Jane Phillips Medical Center Imaging Center is located across from St. John Clinic. Both the Clinic and Jane Phillips are part of the Ascension Tulsa Ministry Market.
The 10,000-square-foot facility will provide Independence and surrounding communities with multiple imaging technologies. No other imaging centers are available in Independence; residents previously had to drive out of town to receive these services.
"It is our privilege to offer these needed services in an easily accessible location that will allow us to make a positive difference in the health and well-being of many living in the community," said Mike Moore, Jane Phillips Medical Center Chief Operating Officer.
St. John Clinic and Jane Phillips Medical Center will host blessing ceremonies for each Independence facility on July 26.
Jane Phillips Medical Center has been serving the communities of southeast Kansas for more than 28 years through family medicine clinics and management of Sedan City Hospital.
