Ascension Health COO Honored by Michigan Congressional Black Caucus Delegation

​​Patricia A. Maryland, Dr.PH, President, Healthcare Operations and Chief Operating Officer, Ascension Health, received the Chairman's Pinnacle Award from the Michigan Congressional Black Caucus Delegation in Washington, D.C., on September 16.

Pat was selected to be the inaugural recipient of the award "for a demonstrated record of success and accomplishment at the highest level," according to the Michigan delegation.

The delegation's annual reception is attended by top luminaries of politics and business from across Michigan and the nation. It is one of the Congressional Black Caucus Weekend's highest visibility events, attracting more than 1,500 guests last year.

Pat has served in a number of healthcare leadership positions throughout Michigan. Prior to her current role, Pat served as President and Chief Executive Officer of St. John Providence Health System in metro Detroit, part of Ascension Michigan, and as Michigan Ministry Market Leader for Ascension Health. Earlier in her career she served as President, Sinai-Grace Hospital, Detroit; Senior Vice President, Detroit Medical Center; and Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer of North Oakland Medical Centers in Pontiac, Michigan.
