Dawn Rudolph has taken on a new role as President, Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital Pensacola, part of Ascension Florida. Dawn currently serves as President and CEO of Ascension’s St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She will join Ascension Sacred Heart when St. Vincent’s becomes part of Hartford HealthCare, which is anticipated this fall following approval by the state of Connecticut. In her new role, Dawn will report to Susan Cornejo, Chief Operating Officer, Ascension Florida.
“Dawn is a dedicated and experienced healthcare executive and has been a virtuous servant leader in Ascension for many years,” said Tom VanOsdol, Senior Vice President, Ascension, and Ministry Market Executive, Ascension Florida. Before taking on the CEO role at St. Vincent’s in spring 2018, Dawn served as Chief Experience Officer for Ascension Saint Thomas in Tennessee. She previously served as President and CEO of Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital, joining the ministry in 2010. Before moving to Nashville, she served as Chief Executive Officer of St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Dawn received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Indiana University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. Active in various community organizations, she served as the 2012 chair for the Nashville chapter of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement to fight heart disease in women, board member of Make-A-Wish Foundation and member of Nashville Chamber CEO Champions for Academies of Nashville – Metro Nashville Public Schools. She is also a diplomat for the American College of Healthcare Executives.
