National publication highlights Ascension ad campaign with Peyton Manning

An Ascension ad campaign featuring former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning was featured in national trade publication Modern Healthcare.

The story notes that the lighthearted campaign highlights the specialized pediatric healthcare provided at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis.

“The main 60-second spot shows Manning lightheartedly trying to help hospital staff and provide comfort to young patients, portraying himself as a bit of a doofus,” Modern Healthcare said. “The former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback is humorously out of his element as he reads his playbook to one child, leads a group of patients in a huddle and wonders if they have a bedpan in Colts blue.”

“I can’t thank the doctors, nurses and entire team enough for going above and beyond, listening to understand the needs of our young patients, and for taking great care of their families and loved ones,” Manning said.

“Peyton has been unwavering in his commitment to serving the children of the Indianapolis area,” Nick Ragone, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Ascension, told Modern Healthcare. “He’s always been generous with his time.”
