Two members of Ascension’s video production team, part of Marketing and Communications, were nominated for a 2019 Mid America Emmy Award.
The nomination is for a video Ascension produced about Marygrove, a nonprofit organization that provides residential and community-based programs that help children, teens and young adults learn how to transcend an abusive past or overcome other life challenges and move toward a brighter future. Marygrove is part of the Catholic Archdiocese of St. Louis.
The video was shown at the Marygrove Bloom fundraising event. It was nominated in the category of Programming Excellence. The video was shot and edited by Ian Bailey, Specialist, and produced by Heidi Suppelsa, Director, Marketing and Communications.
“We’re privileged to help support the exceptional work of Marygrove, and it’s gratifying that our video team is being recognized for its great work,” said Nick Ragone, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Ascension.
Michelle Heavens, Senior Director, Operational Excellence, Ascension, is on the Marygrove Governing Board along with Nick’s wife, Tyan Ragone. In 2017, Tyan chaired Marygrove’s annual Bloom gala, raising nearly $800,000 for the organization.
The winners will be announced Oct. 5 in Branson, Missouri.
