Ascension Saint Agnes has named J. William “Bill” Cook, IV, M.D., FACP, as President, Saint Agnes Medical Group, the organization’s physician network. In the role he will lead all outpatient providers and specialists in locations throughout the Baltimore City and County, and Howard County. Saint Agnes Medical Group includes an extensive network of 48 primary care, pediatric and OB/GYN physicians in locations throughout the Baltimore area, including Howard County.
“We know that Dr. Cook will be a great addition to the team, as he works in partnership with Beau to strengthen AMG’s presence in the Baltimore market,” said Thomas Graf, M.D., Senior Vice President, Ascension, Clinical & Network Services, President, Ascension Medical Group.
Dr. Cook will partner with Beau Higginbotham, Chief Operating Officer, Saint Agnes Medical Group, as the dyad leadership for our Physician Enterprise. This dyad, along with Nancy Hammond, M.D., Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, will strategically develop Saint Agnes and our Medical Group to improve health outcomes and reduce costs.
Dr. Cook has practiced Internal Medicine as a member of the Saint Agnes Medical Staff for more than 25 years. During that time, he has been a key physician leader in the transformation of the hospital and its network of health services. Dr. Cook had served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Saint Agnes Medical Group since 2010. He previously served as President of the Saint Agnes Medical Staff. Dr. Cook was inducted into the Healing Hands Society in 2016, and was honored with the Seton Founders Award in 2015.
Dr. Cook will continue to see patients at the Saint Agnes Medical Group, Catonsville practice.
