Ascension Wisconsin recently held a grand opening celebration and blessing for the new $42 million, two-story, 73,000-square-foot Ascension Wisconsin Health Center – Mount Pleasant.
Bernie Sherry, Senior Vice President, Ascension, and Ministry Market Executive, Ascension Wisconsin, said the center will help Ascension Wisconsin make healthcare more convenient and accessible to more people. The facility offers primary care, specialty care, urgent care, imaging, rehabilitation and occupational health services. A same-day surgery center is expected to open this summer on the second floor.
“Everybody expects things a lot quicker, and so, medicine has always been one of those technologies that always lags behind,” said Amrinder Singh, MD, an Ascension Wisconsin family medicine physician.
The center is described as “a multifaceted approach that puts an emphasis on preventive care.” Blake Estes, Vice President of Ambulatory Development, Ascension Wisconsin, talked about the convenience of the center for patients, saying, “We want them to have as much as we possibly can for them, so that they don’t have to navigate the complex health system across many sites of care.”
