Ascension President and CEO Joseph Impicciche, JD, MHA, presented a virtual Keynote Interview to kick off Becker’s Hospital Review’s 11th Annual Meeting May 10-27. Joe was one of 12 keynote speakers for the event.

The nearly 18-minute Keynote Interview involved a virtual conversation between Joe and Becker’s Conference Co-Chair and National Health Care Consultant Rhoda Weiss, PhD. In the conversation, Joe discusses Ascension’s COVID-19 response and efforts to support patients and associates throughout the pandemic, gratitude for the ongoing heroism of Ascension associates and caregivers, Ascension’s work to distribute more than 1 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccines, and the importance of pursuing health equity and eliminating barriers to access to care.

Additionally, he describes the role of leaders in a crisis and highlights Ascension’s ABIDE framework and its call to Listen-Pray-Learn-Act to advance diversity, inclusion and justice.
