Ascension Saint Thomas is proud to announce the appointment of Bob Higgins as chairman-elect of the Board of Directors. Higgins currently serves as the Finance Committee chairman and will begin his position as board chairman on Jan. 1, 2025.
Bob Higgins serves as president and chief executive officer of Barge Design Solutions and the current chairman of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. Higgins will succeed board chairman Tony Heard, who will remain on the Board of Directors after stepping down as chairman.

Luis Parodi, Vice President at Republic Bank and current board chairman of Williamson Inc, and Michelle Brown, Senior Manager of Public Policy for Amazon will join the Board of Directors Mission and Public Policy Committee, and Harry Allen, recently appointed Chief Financial Officer of Belmont University, will join the Board of Directors Finance Committee. Their expertise will be pivotal in steering Ascension Saint Thomas to expand access to high-quality care for every individual in our region.
