Ascension Providence is excited to announce the appointment of Christi Nguyen DNP, RN, NEA-BC, CENP, FACHE, FAAN as Chief Nursing Officer. Nguyen will lead all aspects of Providence's renowned nursing program and ensure its patients continue to receive the highest quality of care. Nguyen will assume the role on June 30th.

Christi's extensive experience spans 20 years in Texas healthcare leadership. She recently served as Associate Chief Nursing Officer at UT Southwestern Medical Center, leading her team to top quartile rankings for Nursing Excellence employee engagement in 2022 and 2023. Her passion for developing nurses and delivering high-quality care shines through her work in employee relations and education programs. Christi has earned numerous state and national awards, published in renowned nursing journals and delivered several podium and panel presentations.
Christi holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Texas Christian University as well as a Masters of Science in Nursing and Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington.
