Montgomery County Announces EMS Station for Planned Ascension Saint Thomas Campus

Montgomery County Government and Ascension Saint Thomas have announced a public-private partnership to build a new Emergency Medical Services (EMS) station at Exit 11 off I-24, on the site of the proposed Ascension Saint Thomas Clarksville Hospital. The hospital is still awaiting approval through the Tennessee Certificate of Need process, with a key hearing scheduled for July 23.

County officials say the new EMS facility will address increasing demand in a fast-growing area and improve emergency response times. It will also relieve the current overcrowded conditions at a shared city fire station. Leaders from both organizations highlighted the partnership as a major step forward in expanding healthcare infrastructure in Montgomery County.

The EMS station will be a critical part of the region’s emergency preparedness network once completed.
