Using Data and Delivery to Close Gaps in Medication Access

At Ascension, pharmacy is the connective tissue of care, impacting our patients long after their hospital stay. With nearly 50 community pharmacies, a national specialty pharmacy, a home delivery service and additional programs for specific populations, Ascension’s pharmacy network is dedicated exclusively to its patients, providing continuity of care after discharge.

Prioritizing medication access and affordability, Ascension is leaning on its expanding outpatient network to address gaps left by pharmacy closures across the country. Our pharmacy strategy combines data-driven insights provided by electronic health records, clinical integration and a focus on growing a pharmacy workforce to meet these needs.

Ascension applies the same performance standards to pharmacy services as it does to clinical operations, measuring satisfaction, adherence and outcomes. As we continue to make investments in our people, processes and technology, Ascension is expanding ambulatory pharmacy efforts with intention.
