Dispensary of Hope Expands Medication Access Across Communities

Access to medication is a fundamental component of compassionate, patient-centered care, yet far too often, cost and coverage stand in the way.

Ascension Rx, through its national Dispensary of Hope program, provides uninsured and low-income patients across the country with free access to essential medications.

For more than 20 years, Dispensary of Hope has removed financial barriers to care by delivering life-sustaining medications to those who need them most. Today, that impact is reaching more communities than ever before. Dispensary of Hope’s network encompasses 305 pharmacy sites across 38 states, including 34 Ascension locations, that distribute medications donated by manufacturers directly to patients. Last year, drug manufacturers donated more than 130 million medication doses to Dispensary of Hope — a 62% increase from 2024.

Through Dispensary of Hope, Ascension continues to expand access to essential medication access, answering the call to bring health, healing, and hope to all.
