In recognition of Bring Your Child to Work Day, Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital hosted an event on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., inviting associates and their children to experience a hands-on introduction to careers in healthcare.
More than 32 students ages 14–18 stepped beyond the classroom to explore both clinical and non-clinical roles across the hospital. Throughout the day, students rotated through interactive stations featuring laboratory demonstrations, a mock pharmacy experience and imaging technology. They also participated in physical and occupational therapy activities focused on movement and recovery, toured the hospital and joined a live Q&A with hospital leaders and specialized professionals.
“Our associates shared their work with their families and brought their day-to-day roles to life for their children in a meaningful way,” said Renata Scott, Workforce Development Manager at Ascension Saint Agnes.
By connecting young people directly with healthcare environments and mentors, Ascension Saint Agnes aimed to spark early interest in medical careers and help build a strong future workforce. The event also reinforced a sense of pride among associates by allowing them to share their work and its impact with their families.
