Ascension Health Chief Financial Officer Katherine Arbuckle, St. John Providence Hospital CFO Patrick McGuire, and Carondelet Healthcare Network CFO Alan Strauss have been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s list of “150 Hospital and Health System CFOs to Know.”
Arbuckle has served as CFO of Ascension Health, part of Ascension, since April 2012. She previously served as Vice President of Finance at Ascension Health from 2002 to 2006. McGuire joined St. John Providence Health System in Detroit, a Health Ministry of Ascension Health, in 1986. Strauss assumed his current position with Carondelet, another Ascension Health Ministry, in 2012. He will transition to Senior Vice President and CFO of Seton Healthcare Family, Ascension’s Health Ministry in Austin, Texas, on November 1.
Becker’s describes the men and women on the list as those who “have demonstrated excellence in healthcare financial management by leading some of the largest, most prominent and financially successful healthcare organizations in the nation.”
The list is developed each year by a Becker’s Hospital Review editorial team that considers nominations, reviews prior lists and conducts editorial research. The CFOs on the list may not pay for inclusion on the list.
