Ascension Tennessee’s Fahad Tahir among Top 25 Emerging Leaders

Fahad Tahir, CEO of Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown and Ascension Saint Thomas West hospitals in Tennessee, has been named one of Modern Healthcare’s Top 25 Emerging Leaders for 2019.

The magazine annually honors leaders age 40 or under who have made significant contributions in the areas of innovation and financial, operational and clinical excellence.

Fahad’s innovative leadership approach focuses on collaborative partnerships with payers, physicians and clinicians, and other key stakeholders, which has been essential to Ascension Saint Thomas’s transformative financial, operational and clinical success. Fahad’s efforts to build these partnerships has helped advance managed care and value-based care strategies, which translates to increased access to improved health outcomes, cost- effective care, and exceptional patient and clinician experience.

Montgomery County Announces EMS Station for Planned Ascension Saint Thomas Campus

Montgomery County Government and Ascension Saint Thomas have announced a public-private partnership to build a new Emergency Medical Services (EMS) station at Exit 11 off I-24, on the site of the proposed Ascension Saint Thomas Clarksville Hospital. The hospital is still awaiting approval through the Tennessee Certificate of Need process, with a key hearing scheduled for July 23.
