New regional president selected for Ascension Texas

Timothy (Tim) Brierty, LFACHE, has been selected as Ascension Texas Regional President overseeing Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas, Ascension Shoal Creek and Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin.

Tim joined Ascension in October 2018 as Chief Operating Officer for Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas. While he served in this role, the hospital exceeded goals for patient satisfaction scores and increased its LeapFrog ranking.

Tim is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 27 years of experience. He began his career at The George Washington Hospital in Washington, D.C., followed by progressive administrative leadership roles for more than 20 years with the McKenna Health System in New Braunfels, Texas. He served as the CEO of the McKenna Health System for 10 years. Tim transitioned to the University Healthcare System (UHS) in San Antonio, Texas, where he served as the CEO for the University Hospital.

Tim received his Master of HealthCare Administration from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He and his wife, Ashley, have three children, two currently attending Texas Christian University and one who recently graduated from TCU. Tim currently sits on the boards of HeartGift Foundation and The Mission of Divine Mercy.
