Ascension Texas Appoints Anas Daghestani, MD, President & CEO of Austin Regional Clinic, to Board of Directors

Ascension Texas is proud to announce the appointment of Anas Daghestani, MD, President and Chief Executive Officer of Austin Regional Clinic (ARC), to its Board of Directors.

Dr. Daghestani brings a wealth of experience as a highly respected physician executive to the Ascension Texas Board. His distinguished career has been dedicated to the support and enhancement of ARC’s long-term vision and commitment to providing access to high-quality and coordinated care for patients. Since 2016, he has held a senior leadership role at ARC, one of the largest multispecialty medical groups in Central Texas, and home to 40 clinics, 450 physicians and clinicians, and over 2,500 team members.

“Dr. Daghestani is a visionary leader with clinical expertise and a proven track record in physician-led management. His dedication to population health and community-centered care aligns with Ascension Texas’ commitment to serving Central Texas with excellence and compassion,” said Jamie Youseff, CEO of Ascension Texas. “We are honored to welcome him to the Ascension Texas Board.”

In addition to his role at ARC, Dr. Daghestani has been a strong advocate for patient-centered medical homes and integrated care delivery models, serving on numerous boards and committees dedicated to healthcare innovation and quality.

“I am honored to join the board of an organization that serves an important mission in our community,” said Dr. Daghestani. “I look forward to working with the Ascension Texas leadership team and fellow board members to support access, innovation, collaboration, care delivery, and advanced outcomes for the patients and the communities we all serve.”

Dr. Daghestani joined ARC in 2005 and is a practicing board-certified internal medicine physician at ARC Far West. He earned his medical degree from Damascus University and completed his internship and residency at the University of Illinois St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, with additional training at the University of Kentucky.
