Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation events support children, newborns, associates

The Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, organized three successful fundraising events last month to support the Lee and Susan Moss Family Neonatal Intensive Care Unit expansion project.

The events, including one featuring country singer/songwriter Lauren Alaina, collectively raised over $100,000 thanks to the support of the Rutherford community.

“With the continued growth in our community, our need for outstanding prenatal care is increasing,” said Gina DeJean, Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation Director. “We are proud to say that over the past seven years, the Foundation has funded almost $800,000 to support the children and newborns, their families, and the associates who care for them at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford.”

The NICU expansion helped serve more than 3,600 babies born at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in the past year, including 400 in the NICU, with new bays, a family waiting room, and improved facilities for caregivers and staff.
