Ascension Saint Thomas River Park is thrilled to announce the introduction of a new dialysis service, a significant step forward in healthcare for the McMinnville community. With the acquisition of two state-of-the-art Tablo Dialysis units, the hospital is now equipped to offer advanced dialysis care locally, ensuring that patients can receive treatment close to home, without the burden of extensive travel.
Dale Humphrey, President and CEO of Ascension Saint Thomas River Park, highlighted the impact of this initiative: "The availability of Tablo Dialysis services at our facility is a testament to Ascension Saint Thomas River Park's dedication to healthcare innovation and community care. Now, we are bringing state-of-the-art dialysis services right here to McMinnville, allowing patients to receive the care they need closer to their families and support networks."
According to the American Kidney Fund, more than 15,600 people in Tennessee are living with end-stage renal disease (ESRD, or kidney failure). More than 11,495 patients in the state depend on dialysis to stay alive. Without treatment--dialysis or a transplant--ESRD is fatal. Patients with kidney failure need dialysis on average three times per week to flush toxins from their blood stream.
The introduction of the Tablo Dialysis units at Ascension Saint Thomas River Park marks a significant leap forward in patient care and medical convenience. These units offer advanced technology and flexibility in treatment options, significantly reducing the need for patients to travel long distances for their treatments, thus enhancing their overall care experience.
Ascension Saint Thomas River Park continues to lead the way in providing quality, accessible healthcare solutions in the community, continually striving to enhance the well-being and convenience of our patients.
