The Seton Celebration Gala is an annual tradition to honor the outstanding contributions of community leaders, dedicated healthcare professionals, generous donors, selfless volunteers, and committed board members who support the mission of Ascension Saint Thomas and the Nashville community.
The 2025 Seton Celebration Gala will take place on Saturday, April 5 at The Pinnacle at Nashville Yards. Emmy Award-winning WSMV anchor and reporter Lauren Lowrey will emcee the black-tie event, which will feature the induction of this year’s Seton Society honorees, GRAMMY® Award-winning country artist Carly Pearce and renowned cardiologist Dr. John Bright Cage. These distinguished individuals epitomize the values of love, service, and selflessness modeled by Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, for whom this event is named.
Supporting Women’s Heart Health
Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the newly launched Ascension Saint Thomas Women’s Heart Program, dedicated to providing specialized cardiovascular care tailored to the unique needs of the women in our community. Heart disease is the leading cause of death among women, yet its risks are often misdiagnosed or overlooked. This groundbreaking program is designed to transform women’s heart care through prevention, early detection, and a multidisciplinary team approach.
“It is an honor to recognize Carly Pearce and Dr. John Bright Cage for their exceptional contributions to improving women’s heart health across our community,” said Fahad Tahir, president and CEO, Ascension Saint Thomas. “Their dedication to service and voice for positive impact reflects the heart of our mission. Ascension Saint Thomas has long been a leader in cardiovascular care, and with the launch of the Women’s Heart Program, we are strengthening our commitment to addressing the unique heart health needs of women. This initiative will ensure that more women receive the specialized care they deserve, improving health outcomes for generations to come.”

Carly Pearce is a GRAMMY® Award-winning country star known for her honest lyrics and timeless sound. The 3x CMA and 4x ACM Award winner first rose to fame with her debut album Every Little Thing and the PLATINUM-certified history-making title track and hasn’t slowed down since, now with multiple No. 1 hits and over 2 billion global streams. Currently on a 40+ date headline hummingbird world tour, Pearce is gearing up to release hummingbird: no rain, no flowers on March 14, a deluxe edition of her critically acclaimed fourth studio album with 5 new tracks including the newly released “no rain.”
Beyond her esteemed music career, Pearce is an advocate for heart health awareness. In 2024, Pearce announced that she had been diagnosed with a chronic condition of recurrent pericarditis, an inflammation of the heart’s lining, and encourages others to prioritize their heart health. Her personal journey aligns with the mission of the Ascension Saint Thomas Heart Women’s Program.
