Ascension's Sally Deitch named among Modern Healthcare's Leading Women of 2025

Today, Ascension announced that its Executive Vice President of Nursing and Operations Infrastructure Sally Deitch, MSN, MHA, RN, FACHE, was recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the Leading Women for 2025.

Modern Healthcare’s Leading Women awards program, formerly known as the Women Leaders in Healthcare Awards, is a prestigious recognition that acknowledges and honors women executives from all sectors of the healthcare industry for their contributions to care delivery improvement, health equity, policy and gender equity in healthcare leadership. The profiles of all the honorees are featured in the March 10, 2025 issue of Modern Healthcare magazine and online at ModernHealthcare.com/LeadingWomen.

“The roles held by the honorees on our 2025 list of Leading Women and Rising Stars vary greatly but they all have one thing in common -- a commitment to helping their organizations reach the clinical, operational and financial goals,” said Mary Ellen Podmolik, editor-in-chief of Modern Healthcare. “Their leadership and achievements are propelling the industry forward, both in terms of improving the patient experience and serving as mentors for other women in healthcare.”

Deitch joined Ascension in October 2021, and currently holds executive responsibility for leading Nursing & Operations Infrastructure, Ascension Technologies, Strategic Integration, Medxcel, The Resource Group and Ascension Employed Clinical Network (AECN) Operations and Shared Services. Her work enables a unified strategy across Ascension’s hospitals and ambulatory facilities to ensure alignment, collaboration and consistent implementation of operations.

"I am truly honored to be recognized among such an inspiring group of women who are driving meaningful change to shape the future of healthcare," said Deitch. "This recognition reflects the dedication of the incredible teams I have the privilege to work with at Ascension. Together, we are committed to advancing care delivery, fostering innovation, and ensuring equitable healthcare for all."
