Established in 2008, Ascension St. John Medical Center is home to the Heyman Stroke Center - the only Joint Commission-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in Northeast Oklahoma and the only dual-trained neurovascular surgeons in the region. These surgeons perform both minimally invasive procedures - known as endovascular - and open neurosurgical procedures.
