When a patient needs CPR, every second counts. Dr. Hunter Daigle is an intensive care doctor at Dell Children’s Hospital and has worked on building and designing a CPR Cart that allows for efficiency and ensures the entire team administering CPR can access all the necessary equipment as quickly as possible– with the end goal of providing the highest quality of CPR possible. Dr. Daigle first began building carts in 2022 through a grant from the Dell Children’s Foundation and recently he secured $40,000 in funding from Dell Medical Schools Texas Health Catalyst program. The funding will be used to work with engineers from across the country to continue to design new versions of the cart which will allow for the highest-quality and efficient CPR to be provided.
“Our team no longer has to search for the equipment when beginning to administer CPR. The carts are now color-coded and organized so that everything you need to begin to provide CPR is now right at the clinicians fingertips”
Already in use within Dell Children’s CPR training program, these carts are expected to expand to hospitals across the country. Thank you, Dr. Daigle, for your vision and leadership in advancing life-saving innovation.
