Ascension St. Vincent’s Clay County expands heart care program, welcomes new cardiologist

Ascension St. Vincent’s Clay County is expanding its award-winning heart care team. The hospital welcomed Dr. Selin Sendil, interventional cardiologist, this fall.

“We are excited to welcome a physician of this caliber to our outstanding cardiology team,” said Bryan Walrath, President and CEO of St. Vincent’s Clay County. “Dr. Sendil’s arrival aligns with our goal to provide more patients with the complex care they need without having to leave their own community.”

Dr. Sendil cares for patients who are battling a wide variety of heart diseases and conditions. She’s settled into the Clay County community with her family and looks forward to helping others.

“Clay County is a wonderful place to call home, and I’m looking forward to taking care of my new neighbors,” said Dr. Sendil. “My goal is for my patients to feel confident they are getting the best possible treatment by providing the highest standards of care.”

Dr. Sendil earned her medical degree and completed her residency at University of Istanbul in Turkey. She then completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at University of Maryland, internal medicine residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Harrisburg and cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology fellowships at Columbia University Division of Cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Florida.
