Ascension’s Krisda Chaiyachati recognized with national telehealth leadership award

Krisda H. Chaiyachati, MD, MPH, MSHP, FACP has been recognized by the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) with the 2026 Leadership in Care Transformation Award at ATA Nexus 2026 for advancing virtual care and digitally enabled care delivery across Ascension. The national award honors healthcare leaders who are helping shape the future of care through innovation, improved access, and scalable models of care transformation.

As Associate Vice President of Clinical Transformation at Ascension, Chaiyachati has led efforts to expand and integrate virtual care across the organization, helping build more connected and sustainable care delivery models. Under his leadership, Ascension transitioned its virtual care platform to an EHR-embedded model across more than 700 ambulatory practices, expanded acute teleneurology coverage from 10 hospitals to 61 hospitals nationwide and grew acute telepsychiatry coverage from three hospitals to 34 hospitals over two years.
