Ascension Alexian Brothers is excited to announce that its hospital president, Ellis Hawkins, has joined the Board of Directors for the Greater O’Hare Regional Business Association (GOA).
This board serves as a strong suburban institution in promoting business growth by providing advocacy opportunities and strengthening relationships among organizations in communities around O'Hare International Airport.
As national and regional business conditions evolve, the GOA has remained one body dedicated to serving as the catalyst for stronger community partnerships.
“Alexian Brothers has long stood as an anchor institution in the northwest suburbs, providing care to anyone who needs it,” said Hawkins. “I take great pleasure in acting as our facility’s representative on the GOA board of directors, further ingraining our hospital as a key contributor to the Elk Grove Village community and beyond.”
Ascension Alexian Brothers has roots in the Chicagoland area since the 19th century as a small community hospital, and now is a destination for specialty care for those in the northwest suburbs. Today, it is Ascension Illinois’ center of excellence for heart and vascular care, neurosurgery, cancer care, and provides high-level orthopedics and other recovery care options at Ascension Alexian Brothers Rehabilitation Hospital on campus.
