Ascension Alexian Brothers is pleased to announce that it will be hosting its third annual one-day Vascular Ultrasound Symposium for vascular physicians, sonographers and imaging professionals for evidence-based education focused on current techniques, emerging technology and practical applications in vascular imaging. Participants can expect to gain insights which are immediately useful in their clinical practice.
The symposium will take place on Oct. 24, 2026 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Ascension Alexian Brothers’ Kennedy Conference Room.
The event will feature nine professionals from institutions across Chicagoland including: Ascension, Northwestern Medicine, UI Health, Canon Medical, and Philips Healthcare.
“This symposium offers clinicians from Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin a fantastic opportunity to connect with their peers and build a stronger core of medical expertise across the Midwest,” said Mary Beth Mattson, supervisor of noninvasive cardiology, vascular, and cardiac Rehab at Ascension Alexian Brothers. “Regular education is a key facet of quality, consistent care, and it ensures that medical professionals remain updated on the latest in technology and practices in their medical discipline.”
The symposium will include discussions about comprehensive vascular imaging, workflow best practices, pre and post-intervention imaging, emerging technologies in vascular imaging, and image optimization.
