Ascension St. Vincent Evansville earns Magnet® Designation for fourth consecutive time

Ascension St. Vincent Evansville has earned its fourth consecutive Magnet® designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The designation recognizes nursing excellence and patient-centered care, highlighting the dedication of the hospital's nursing team and its commitment to clinical leadership across the region.

"Achieving Magnet designation for a fourth consecutive time is a significant honor that reflects the skill and dedication of our care team," said Holly Rollo, Chief Nursing Officer, Ascension St. Vincent Evansville. "Our nurses continuously strive to elevate standards of care, and this recognition highlights their commitment to supporting positive patient outcomes and expanding access to quality care for our community."

For area residents, this designation reflects care aligned with national standards. Research indicates Magnet-designated hospitals support lower nurse turnover, higher job satisfaction, and reduced clinical complications. This environment helps Ascension St. Vincent Evansville recruit qualified care teams to deliver safe, quality care.

The ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® evaluates healthcare quality and is held by fewer than 10% of U.S. hospitals. Redesignation requires an evaluation of clinical outcomes, leadership, evidence-based care, and safety. Originally designated in 2011, with redesignations in 2016 and 2021, Ascension St. Vincent Evansville’s fourth recognition marks 15 years of nursing excellence.
