Saurabh Tripathi, MBA, is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Ascension.
Mr. Tripathi leads all aspects of finance including financial planning, data science and analytics, accounting and financial reporting, tax, treasury, venture capital, and insurance businesses. He is also responsible for the revenue cycle, reimbursement, and managed care functions across Ascension.
Before joining Ascension in 2024, Mr. Tripathi served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for Highmark Health in Pittsburgh. At Highmark, he led significant growth initiatives, including supporting three acquisitions that positioned the organization as the second-largest integrated healthcare delivery system.
Prior to Highmark, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Fresenius Medical Care and spent more than 17 years in a variety of roles at General Electric.
Mr. Tripathi serves as a board member for Point Park University in Pittsburgh; Trimedx – a medical devices asset management company; R1 RCM – a high-tech revenue cycle management company; and a few healthcare startups.
He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering from National Institute of Technology in India and a MBA degree in finance from University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. He also has a Chartered Institute of Management Accountants [CIMA-operations] certification from London and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He has also completed advanced management courses in driving corporate performance at Harvard Business School.
