Requirements
Associates are required through Ascension's influenza vaccination policy to obtain the influenza vaccine or submit proof of vaccination on or before Nov. 6, 2026. This requirement applies to all Ascension associates, contractors and independent clinicians who do not have an approved exemption, including:
- Employees of subsidiaries and partners
- Physicians and advanced practice providers (employed or independent)
- Medical students and residents
- Volunteers and vendors
- All students and faculty entering Ascension care facilities
For the health and safety of Ascension's workforce, we strongly recommend that all associates receive the influenza vaccine.
For contingent workers or contractors:
- Contingent workers, contractors and independent clinicians subject to the flu vaccine requirement can receive their vaccine at Ascension AOH clinics. You'll receive a receipt of administration.
- Provide your flu documentation to your employer or school, unless instructed to submit it to Ascension AOH.
-
How to get vaccinated
Flu vaccines will be available at Ascension facilities starting mid-September. Associates can choose:
- Ascension AOH: Free clinics are provided for Ascension associates and contractors.

- Vaccination at Ascension AOH locations is automatically documented for you in My Health Portal.
