Ascension’s Saint Thomas Behavioral Health Hospital breaks ground

Crews broke ground recently for the new Ascension Saint Thomas Behavioral Health Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. The 76-bed inpatient hospital will have dedicated adult and geriatric units, offering a wide range of programs to better serve those needing behavioral and mental healthcare.

“Giving people in our city access to another first-class hospital with highly trained staff will make Nashville an even stronger, more caring, and safer place for all of us,” Mayor David Briley said. “This hospital will provide residents with the care they deserve, and I thank Ascension Saint Thomas and Acadia for partnering to make it possible.”

The development of the new hospital is a joint venture with Acadia Healthcare. It’s set to open in fall 2020.
