Ascension Saint Thomas has named Luke Miller chief operating officer of Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown. He will assume the role June 21, 2026.
Miller brings more than a decade of operational leadership experience within Ascension. He joined the ministry’s Florida market in 2015 and advanced through a series of leadership roles before moving to Ascension Texas. Most recently, he served as chief operating officer at Ascension Seton Hays, where he led clinical and support operations and oversaw strategic initiatives.
During his tenure, he built a strong record in operational performance, capital planning and physician engagement. He has also helped advance quality outcomes, including a CMS Five Star Quality Rating and an A-rating Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade.
In his new role, Miller will support associates, strengthen physician collaboration and improve operational efficiency at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown.

Miller earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University Shreveport. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
