On August 1, 16 Ascension Wisconsin associates helped Hunger Task Force collect food donations at the Wisconsin State Fair. This was the fifth consecutive year a team of support attended the effort.
Associates helped collect more than 106,000 pounds of food and $17,850 in cash donations for Hunger Task Force.
“Those donations will help us provide healthy food to our network of food pantries and meal programs and ensure a safety net for over 50,000 people here in Milwaukee each month,” said Kyle Buehner, Community Relations Manager, Hunger Task Force.
“Volunteering with Hunger Task Force was a great way to experience the generosity of the people in our city while learning about the great work they do,” said Maggie Davis, Ascension Technologies. “Hunger Task Force is dedicated to providing free and local food to our community, just as Ascension is committed to improving the health of that same community.”
