BizTimes Milwaukee recognizes 3 Ascension Wisconsin leaders as local healthcare leaders

Each year, BizTimes Milwaukee recognizes local healthcare leaders who have demonstrated excellence in their field and the ability to make a positive impact within their organization, industry or community. The following Ascension Wisconsin leaders are among the Notable Healthcare Leaders Class of 2024 honorees:

  • Dan Wright, MHA, BSN, RN, NE-BC, Chief Nursing Officer at Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital - Milwaukee Campus, was recognized for his commitment to patient safety and nursing recruitment and retention initiatives.
  • Manfred Chiang, MD, surgeon, was recognized for his leadership in robotic surgery at Ascension Elmbrook.
  • Nicole Lorino, RN, nurse manager at Ascension St. Joseph, was recognized for her efforts addressing social determinants of health in maternal care for underserved populations in Milwaukee.

These accomplished individuals also mentor, teach and volunteer in their communities. The leaders profiled are nominated by their peers at work and highlight the talent throughout southeastern Wisconsin communities. Ascension Wisconsin dispenses 2,000 life-saving naloxone kits to patients at risk of overdose

Through a collaborative effort between Ascension Wisconsin, the Ascension Wisconsin Foundation, Behavioral Health Services of Racine County and the City of Milwaukee Health Department, Ascension Wisconsin has reached the milestone of dispensing 2,000 nasal naloxone kits statewide to patients at risk of opioid overdose, free of charge.
