A new full-service hospital may be coming to Clarksville, promising to expand local healthcare options and reduce the need for residents to travel to Nashville for medical care. Currently, many residents, like Joy Wilson, must travel to Nashville for specialized care. Ascension Saint Thomas plans to build a 44-bed hospital in Clarksville, expandable to 132 beds, offering services such as maternity care, neonatal ICU, cardiac care, surgeries, and advanced imaging. The new facility would be located near Exit 11. The state will decide at a Certificate of Need hearing on July 23 whether the new hospital can move forward.
