Ascension Texas has announced Jamie Youssef as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective June 1, 2025. In his role as CEO, Jamie will lead the continued advancement of Ascension Texas’ mission-driven care, overseeing strategic growth, operational excellence, and clinical innovations across its hospitals and sites of care. His leadership will play a vital role in expanding access to high-quality, compassionate care across Central Texas, with a strong focus on improving health outcomes and addressing the community health needs.
Jamie brings over 23 years of experience to Ascension Texas. Prior to his new role as CEO of Ascension Texas, Jamie most recently served as Senior Vice President, Network Development & Service Lines with HCA Healthcare (HCA). During his tenure at HCA, Jamie was responsible for all aspects of network and service line development and optimization, surgical growth, rehabilitation services and physician alignment.
A member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Jamie also served in senior executive roles for Medical City Healthcare - HCA North Texas Division and Medical City Children's Hospital. Earlier in his career Jamie served as Vice President at Integrated Health Strategies, a national healthcare consulting firm, and in senior operations roles for OhioHealth and Grant Medical Center.

Jamie earned both a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management and a master’s degree in health services policy and management from The Ohio State University.
