Unfortunately, lifesaving antibiotics and critical care medications used in emergencies are in short supply. Everyday, patients across the United States are forced to make an impossible choice between paying for medication, or sacrificing their health.
At Ascension, we are helping our patients and communities get access to the medications they need. Whether it’s medication targeted at managing chronic conditions or receiving antibiotics for an unexpected infection, cost should never be a barrier to care.
Ascension Rx and The Dispensary of Hope acknowledge the challenges our country faces with rising prescription drug costs – and are committed to being part of the solution.
Ascension Florida and The Dispensary of Hope are launching a program to provide our community’s most vulnerable with access to free medications. Already established in Northeast Florida at Ascension St. Vincent’s in 2024, the program will now serve patients at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola.
In the past year, Dispensary of Hope provided medications for nonprofit pharmacies and clinics across the nation. This network of nonprofits filled 1.2 million prescriptions nationwide for 164,000 patients, delivering more than 3,000 free prescriptions every day.
