We’re Ranked Among the Best Nationally - Here’s Why It Matters for Families in Central Texas

Each year, U.S. News & World Report releases its Best Children’s Hospitals rankings — and this year, we’re thrilled to share that we’ve climbed even higher in the national rankings, including a top tier placement as #3 in the Southwest region.

We are also proud to be ranked nationally in seven pediatric specialties:

  • Pediatric Cardiology & Heart Surgery – #10
  • Neonatology – #36
  • Pediatric Orthopedics – #31
  • Pediatric Neurology & Neurosurgery – #25
  • Pediatric Pulmonology & Lung Surgery – #27 (tie)
  • Pediatric Urology – #49 (tie)
  • Pediatric & Adolescent Behavioral Health – Top 50

This recognition is more than a badge. It’s proof of the incredible work our caregivers do every day to deliver compassionate, leading-edge care to children and families across Central Texas.

What These Rankings Mean

The U.S. News & World Report rankings are considered one of the most trusted measures of hospital quality. They evaluate children’s hospitals nationwide based on key factors like:

  • Outcomes: Survival rates, complication rates, and long-term results for children. ● Resources: Availability of advanced technology, specialized staff, and research programs.
  • Experience: How many patients we treat and the complexity of cases we manage. ● Reputation: Surveys of pediatric specialists across the country.

In other words, these rankings measure what matters most to families: whether a hospital is equipped to provide the highest quality care, even in the most complex cases.

Care Beyond the Rankings

While we’re proud of these rankings, we know they represent something much bigger: the stories of thousands of children and families who trust us with their care each year.

Every time a baby graduates from the NICU, a teen walks again after orthopedic surgery, or a heart patient celebrates another birthday, we’re reminded that this is why we do what we do.

Thank You

To our physicians, nurses, therapists, techs, and support staff — thank you. Your expertise, compassion, and commitment are what make these recognitions possible.

And to the families we serve — thank you for trusting us to provide care for your children. We are honored to walk alongside you, every step of the way.
