Ascension Saint Thomas Dickson hosted a ribbon-cutting and blessing ceremony to celebrate the opening of its new specialty care facility, expanding access to nationally recognized heart and neurology services in the Dickson community.
Designed with patient comfort and convenience in mind, the new location provides advanced treatment options close to home. Patients will benefit from enhanced heart and brain/spine services, including electrophysiology, advanced heart failure and transplant care, and neurosurgical expertise.

The new Ascension Saint Thomas Heart Dickson location offers expanded cardiovascular services, including electrophysiology care for atrial fibrillation and other heart rhythm disorders, as well as a Comprehensive Heart Failure and Transplant Center that provides the latest in testing, treatment and surgical care, including heart transplants. Led by Dr. Kyle Stribling and Dr. Ricardo Lugo, the heart team brings leading-edge cardiovascular medicine to Dickson, continuing the 60 year legacy of Saint Thomas Heart’s pioneering cardiovascular care in Middle Tennessee.
The Howell Allen Clinic with Ascension Saint Thomas expansionbrings more than 40 years of experience in world-class brain and spine surgery to the Dickson community. The clinic is nationally recognized for its expertise in minimally invasive laser brain and robotic spine surgery and leads Middle Tennessee’s first and most advanced Brain Tumor Program, which integrates neurosurgery and radiation oncology for comprehensive patient care. Dr. Ernest Wright, Dr. Douglas Mathews and Dr. John Spooner will provide expert neurological and spine care locally.
The new center allows families in Dickson and nearby areas to receive integrated heart and brain/spine specialty care in one convenient location.
