Ascension Saint Agnes Hosts Baltimore Mayor and Leaders from the Baltimore Hospital Community

Baltimore Mayor Brandon M. Scott chose Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital as the host for his Baltimore City Hospital Leader Roundtable, held on January 13, 2026. 

Leaders from throughout the Baltimore hospital and health system community convened at the Roundtable at Ascension Saint Agnes to develop a shared understanding of current health priorities and to identify opportunities to collaborate. Mayor Scott led the Roundtable with Letitia Dzirasa, MD, Deputy Major of Health and Human Services, and Michelle Taylor, MD, DrPH, MPA, Commissioner of Health, Baltimore City Health Department. 

“It was an honor to host Mayor Scott, Dr. Dzirasa, Dr. Taylor and the many representatives of hospitals and health systems in Baltimore who came together for this important and timely conversation,” said Beau Higginbotham, President and CEO of Ascension Saint Agnes. “We’re proud to continue Ascension Saint Agnes’ leadership in responding to health needs in the community and improving health for all, and we deeply appreciate the collaborative efforts of our city’s leadership and our health system community.”

Mayor Scott also toured a selection of Ascension Saint Agnes’ services to the community, including the Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital Emergency Department and Family Birthing Center, and the Ascension Saint Agnes Mobile Clinic, which provides primary care services for adults and children across southwest Baltimore City.
