Healthcare and Policy Leaders Gather at Ascension Saint Agnes Legislative Breakfast to Discuss Improving Maryland Health Outcomes

Leaders from across the healthcare and policy sectors convened at Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital for the annual Legislative Breakfast exploring ways to improve health and expand access to care for Maryland residents in an evolving payment environment.

The event featured a distinguished panel of speakers, including Beau Higginbotham, President and CEO of Ascension Saint Agnes; Bill Ferguson, Maryland Senate President; John Bullock, Baltimore City Councilmember; Dr. Abimbade Akhigbe, Director of Obstetrics at Ascension Saint Agnes; Gene Ransom, CEO of MedChi; Jennifer White Holland, Maryland State Delegate; and Bill McCarthy, Former Executive Director of Catholic Charities of Baltimore. 

Panelists discussed how shifts in healthcare policy and funding affect patients and communities, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between providers and policymakers. They also shared strategies for addressing local health needs and highlighted the services and programs Ascension Saint Agnes offers to support families across the region.
