Ascension Sacred Heart Bay welcomes new gastroenterologist to growing GI program

We are pleased to welcome Raja M. Mohi-ud-din, MD to  Ascension Sacred Heart Gastroenterology - Bay. His office is located in the Medical Office Building on the campus of Sacred Heart Bay at 801 E 6th Street, Suite 501. He will perform procedures at Sacred Heart Bay. 

“Dr. Mohi-ud-din is an integral piece to our growing gastroenterology and digestive health care program,” said Kunal Jani, MD, Chief Medical Officer for Sacred Heart Bay. “This comprehensive care we are creating is in response to the needs of our community members who are seeking additional options for care close to home.” 

Dr. Mohi-ud-din joins the team at Sacred Heart Gastroenterology - Bay, providing care for a range of digestive health conditions, including: 

  • Barrett’s esophagus
  • Colon cancer screening of polyps
  • Crohn’s disease
  • Gallbladder disease
  • GI cancers (including colon cancer, pancreatic cancer and stomach cancer)
  • Gluten and food allergies
  • Hepatitis C
  • Inflammatory bowel disease
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Irritable bowel syndrome
  • Leaky gut
  • Reflux (GERD)
  • Stomach ulcers

Dr. Mohi-ud-din is board-certified in gastroenterology and completed fellowships in both gastroenterology and hepatology. He specializes in diagnosing, managing and treating diseases of the digestive system, liver, gallbladder, biliary tree and pancreas. Recognized as a "Top Doctor" by Washingtonian Magazine on multiple occasions, Dr. Mohi-ud-din brings a wealth of experience to the Panama City community.

Dr. Mohi-ud-din completed his fellowships at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. He completed his residency program in Internal Medicine at University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center in Largo, Maryland. He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. 

Outside of the office, Dr. Mohi-ud-din enjoys sports, the outdoors and spending time on the beach enjoying the weather now that he lives in Panama City.
